The Basic Assistant Naturalist Trainer’s Camp, organized by Mikoko Development Foundation (MDF) under the Young Environmental Scientist (YES) program, is your gateway to building a generation of environmentally responsible, science-driven youth leaders.
Held within the serene setting of Mkange Village, Near Saadani National Park, this immersive 5-day outdoor training is tailored to equip educators with practical skills, scientific knowledge, and outdoor leadership tools to inspire and guide students through nature-based learning.
What the Camp Offers:
- STREAMS Activities – Explore Science, Technology, Research/Robotics, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics & Sports in hands-on projects.
- Permaculture & Vermicomposting – Learn sustainable farming techniques and waste recycling using composting with worms.
- Tree Planting & Ecosystem Restoration – Get involved in forest conservation and climate education.
- Outdoor Risk Management – Ensure safety in all school outdoor and camping activities.
